Instagram Unfollowers Checker
See who doesn't follow you back, which followers you haven't followed back, and who unfollowed you – using Instagram's official data export. No login and no password required.
Your files are read in your browser and never uploaded to any server.
How to download your Instagram followers and following
- 1
Open Accounts Center
In the Instagram app, go to your profile, tap the menu (☰) and open Accounts Center. On the web, open Settings and choose Accounts Center.
- 2
Choose Download your information
Go to Your information and permissions → Download your information → Download or transfer information, then select your Instagram account.
- 3
Select only Followers and following
Choose Some of your information and tick Followers and following (in the Connections section). Leaving out photos and messages makes the export much smaller and faster.
- 4
Create the files
Choose Download to device, set Date range to All time and Format to JSON (HTML also works), then tap Create files.
- 5
Download and upload here
Instagram emails you when the files are ready – usually within minutes, sometimes longer. Download the ZIP file from the same page and upload it above.

Safer than unfollower apps
No login, no password
Third-party unfollower apps ask for your Instagram password, which breaks Instagram's rules and can get your account locked. This tool only reads the files Instagram gives you.
Nothing leaves your device
Your export is unpacked and compared entirely in your browser. No usernames are uploaded, stored or shared.
Uses Instagram's own data
Results come from Instagram's official data export, so they are accurate and don't depend on scraping or unofficial APIs.
Instagram unfollowers FAQ
Common questions about checking who doesn't follow you back
Download your followers and following lists from Instagram's Download your information page and upload the ZIP file here. The Don't follow you back tab lists every account you follow that isn't following you.
Instagram doesn't send unfollow notifications. Keep the export you download today, download a new one later, and upload both: the older one under Find out who unfollowed you. Accounts that were in the old followers list but not in the new one have unfollowed you (or deactivated their account).
No. The tool never asks for your Instagram login. It only reads the export files that Instagram lets you download yourself.
Yes, it's safe. The ZIP file is opened and processed locally in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing is sent to our servers or stored.
Just upload the whole ZIP file. If you prefer, upload only followers_1.json (and followers_2.json etc. if you have many followers) and following.json from the connections/followers_and_following folder. HTML exports work too.
Instagram's export can leave out accounts that are deactivated, deleted or restricted, while your profile count may still include them. Small differences are normal.
No. Instagram only lets you download data for accounts you own, so this tool works for your own followers and following.
Yes. For any two lists – names, emails, IDs or products – use the Compare Two Lists tool.
